About Computer Repair (Rob Guay)

Professional, local computer repair and support from a Harrison resident with over 30 years of IT experience.

Meet Rob

I’m Rob Guay, a long-time Harrison resident and IT professional. For more than three decades I’ve worked with computers, networks, and business systems, helping people keep their technology reliable and easy to use. Today I run a small, home-based computer repair service focused on practical, common-sense solutions for everyday problems.

I understand how frustrating it is when a computer won’t start, runs slowly, or loses important files. My goal is to diagnose the real issue, explain your options clearly, and help you make a decision that makes sense for your budget and how you actually use your computer.

Experience & Background

Over the years I’ve supported home users, small offices, and larger environments, working with both Windows PCs and a wide range of software and hardware. That experience means I can usually recognize patterns quickly, avoid guesswork, and get to the root of a problem efficiently.

  • 30+ years of hands-on IT and computer repair experience
  • Support for home users, home offices, and small businesses
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting, from slow systems to failed drives
  • Network and Wi‑Fi issues, printers, backup devices, and more

I’m also a veteran and an active supporter of local veteran and community projects. That sense of service and responsibility carries over into how I treat every customer and every machine I work on.

How I Work

When you call, text, or email, you are always dealing directly with me—no call centers, no ticket systems, and no rotating list of technicians. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and confident that I’m giving you straightforward information.

  • Clear communication: I explain the issue in plain language.
  • Honest recommendations: I’ll tell you when a repair is not worth the cost.
  • No surprise charges: You’ll know the expected cost before work is performed.
  • Respect for your data: I treat your information as if it were my own.

“We Fix It or It’s Free”

I stand behind my work. If I take on a repair and can’t fix the problem I agreed to address, you don’t pay for that repair. It’s that simple. In some cases we may discover additional or unrelated issues along the way, and I will always discuss those with you before moving forward.

Some situations, such as data recovery on damaged drives or severe physical damage, may have limits or partial outcomes. I’ll be clear about those risks up front so you can decide how you’d like to proceed.

Local Focus

I focus on serving Harrison and surrounding communities in Clare County and nearby areas. Working locally means I can usually offer flexible scheduling, faster turnaround, and a more personal experience than you’ll find at a big-box store.

Many of my customers find me by word of mouth or from online reviews. That’s why I treat every job as if it’s the one you’ll tell a friend about.
